Areas of Practice & Experience

Since 1991, Kamy’s practice has primarily focused in the areas of construction and surety law and commercial litigation. He has extensive experience representing general contractors, subcontractors, owners, design professionals and sureties. He has appeared before the state and federal courts in Georgia and other states, as well as arbitration panels, boards of contract appeals, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.

In addition, a significant portion of his construction practice relates to advice and counsel in the early stages of disputes, helping clients avoid litigation, or to prepare for it if necessary. Kamy’s transactional practice includes drafting and negotiating hundreds of construction, design and development contracts, as well as corollary documents such as lien subordination agreements and joint venture agreements.

​Kamy is a member of the panel of neutrals of the American Arbitration Association, where he serves primarily as an arbitrator in construction cases.

Kamy also has extensive experience in the field of commercial litigation. He has represented clients in disputes arising out of real estate brokerage agreements, supply contracts, distribution contracts, commercial leases, commercial real estate and development financing agreements, environmental issues, and other business matters.

He advises clients on a variety of commercial contracts. His services have included review, drafting, and negotiation of agreements relating to information technology services, software, procurement, and dealerships for a Fortune 500 international manufacturing company.
